CISMA: Invasive Species

SW x SW Corner CISMA (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area)

A Michigan Invasive Species Grant supports the SW x SW Corner Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA). The SW x SW Corner CISMA exists to minimize the invasion and damage caused by non-native species through outreach, education, and responsible management in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties. For a complete list of the target invasive species, please visit the Berrien Conservation District webpage.

For more information, please contact the CISMA Coordinator, Alex Florian (269-657-4030 x 5; invasivesed@vanburencd.org).

Report Sightings

If you see any invasive species, report your sighting to the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN) via their website or free app. MISIN provides detailed information on invasive species and offers valuable training modules to aid identification. When reporting, please indicate that you are a part of the South West x South West Corner CISMA.
