Flynn Woods Preserve Recreational Improvements

Exciting changes are coming for Flynn Woods Preserve, a 34-acre woodland located across the street from Robinson Woods Preserve on East Road in Three Oaks.

Recreational Improvements

Major recreational improvements are underway! With the help of a generous donation, COL will be able to install an ADA-accessible parking lot, limestone plaza, picnic area, pavilion, restrooms, trails, and more. We are particularly excited about improvements geared toward cyclists as we will have an asphalt trailhead and bicycle repair station.

Habitat Restoration

Habitat restoration will include improving some sections of wetland and prairie plants that emerged after the original homestead was removed. These improvements will help keep the natural integrity of the preserve and provide many educational and recreational opportunities. Below is a concept plan. Stay tuned as this preserve will be ready for your enjoyment before you know it!
