June Stewardship Day

June 8, 2024 from 10:00am to Noon

Help us clear invasive plants at Trillium Woodlands, our newest nature preserve located in Niles! Each spring, Trillium Woodlands boasts an incredible blanket of wildflowers. Let's make sure we keep this property in tip-top shape so they keep returning to wow us!

No equipment or experience is required. COL staff will bring the tools; you just bring sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a positive attitude.

*Please note that this workday was previously scheduled as trail clearing. We've since learned of the potential existence of a rare orchid on the property, most easily spotted in August during its blooming season. We've decided to wait to install the trail until then so we can be certain to route the trail around the orchid if necessary.
