Chikaming Open Lands owns and manages several nature preserves. Most of these preserves are Open-Access Preserves, while a few are Limited-Access Preserves. No matter which preserve you choose to visit, please be sure to follow our preserve rules.

Open-Access Preserves:

These preserves are shown on the map below. Open-access preserves have trails, are open to the public, are free to visit, and are accessible from dawn to dusk 365 days a year. Each property is unique and offers diverse habitats that make Southwest Michigan so special. Our preserves have a wide variety of activities for everyone to enjoy, including miles of hiking trails, birding opportunities, spectacular spring wildflower viewing, and more. We encourage you to visit and enjoy each unique Chikaming Open Lands Preserve!
