Chikaming Open Lands owns and manages several nature preserves. Most of these preserves are Open Access Preserves, while a few are Limited Access Preserves. No matter which preserve you choose to visit, please be sure to follow our preserve rules.

Open-Access Preserves:

These preserves are shown on the map below. Open-access preserves have trails, are open to the public, are free to visit, and are accessible from dawn to dusk 365 days a year. Each property is unique and offers diverse habitats that make Southwest Michigan so special. Our preserves have a wide variety of activities for everyone to enjoy, including miles of hiking trails, birding opportunities, spectacular spring wildflower viewing, and more.
