Fifth Annual Barn Benefit a Huge Success!

Posted on October 22, 2014

The Fifth Annual Barn Benefit, held on September 20, 2014, was a huge success, raising more than twice as much money as in 2013. The event was a fun and relaxed evening featuring cocktails, a delectable selection of small plates cuisine, a lively auction and some truly wonderful company in a gorgeous rural setting. This year’s Benefit was held at the stunning renovated barn of Cindy and Stephen Mitchell on 30 acres in Buchanan.

The annual Barn Benefit represents a significant portion of the funds we raise, allowing us to continue to fulfill our mission to protect Southwest Michigan's open spaces, improve the environmental health of our communities, provide habitat for our wildlife, and keep our beautiful landscapes intact for future generations. This year was our most successful benefit ever, raising more than $90,000 in support of that mission!

Our sincere thanks to the attendees, our sponsors, the donors of our wonderful auction items and everyone else who made it such a great event... in particular, Steve and Cindy Mitchell, who so generously opened their barn to us that evening.
