Join Chikaming Open Lands and local libraries for a StoryWalk®️ on the Preserves! We are excited to partner with Bridgman Public Library, Buchanan District Library, New Buffalo Township Library, and Three Oaks Township Library to bring story time to our preserves this spring starting March 17th to May 26th!

Trail: StoryWalk begins at the entrance to the preserve and concludes before the second bridge.
Distance: Approximately 0.5
Parking: Parking is along Parkway Rd.

Trail Loop: Beech Ridge Trail to Myron Perlman Loop
Trail Markers: 1-> 7, 8, 9-> 10 -> 4 back to Entrance Trail.
Distance: Approximately 0.58 miles
Parking: This preserve does not have a sign yet (pending parking lot installation). It is the drive located on the lefthand-side right after the bright blue house. Park along the entrance trail before the top of the hill. Please be aware that the initial drive into the preserve can be muddy.

Trail Loop: Great White Pine Loop
Trail Markers: 19 (stay right) -> 36, 37 -> 41, 40 -> 42, 43 -> 39, 38 -> 37 back to Lubke Rd.
Distance: Approximately 0.5 miles
Parking: Park in the New Buffalo Elementary School lot then walk into the preserve off Lubke Rd.

Trail Loop: Mighty Oak Loop
Trail Markers: 1, 2 (stay left) -> 16, 17, 18 -> 11, 12 -> back to Entrance Trail.
Distance: Approximately 0.50 miles
Parking: Park in the preserve parking lot. Port-a-potty will be available at Flynn Woods Preserve in May.
