Join us on August 13 for the Fête at the Forest! Once again this year, our annual fundraising event will be a casual outdoor gathering, this time at George and Andrea Platz's Sugarwood Farm, just next door to one of our newest nature preserves, Sugarwood Forest Preserve! Enjoy wine, craft cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and some fantastic company in a beautiful setting! Guided walks through the preserve will also be available.

ITEM 1:

2-Night Stay for 4 at the Historic Hills School in the heart of Southwest Michigan wine country. (Ticket price: $100)
Hills School 1916 was lovingly and thoughtfully renovated into a 2BR/2 BA home in 2020 to share the spirit and stories of this former K-8 rural school with you, your friends and family as you unwind in the heart of SW Michigan wine country. The property features a large open living/dining space with soaring 12’ ceilings, oversized windows, and fully outfitted cook’s kitchen with gas fireplace. Many original details were maintained in the renovation, desks were repurposed into counter stools and nightstands, and photos and memorabilia from school days are found throughout. Outside you will enjoy a stocked fire pit, back porch, gas grill, and eating area surrounded by woods and farmland on a quiet corner. Included in this package is a $200 gift card for the gorgeous Tabor Hill Restaurant just up the road in Buchanan-- enjoy sweeping views of the vineyards while tucking into a delicious dinner during your stay! The winner will also receive a lovely picnic basket from The Peasant’s Pantry, featuring an enticing assortment of Pantry favorites, including savory deli salads and sandwiches, salads, fresh baked goods, and two bottles of wine or champagne (customer's choice). The basket comes with glasses, a wine opener, plates, cutlery, napkins and a blanket, making it the perfect addition to your day at the beach, the park, or your patio!

ITEM 2:

Taste of Granor Dinner for 14 in your own private dining space (Ticket price: $150)
Enjoy a coveted Taste of Granor Dinner with beverage pairings for up to 14 people in the Granor Botanicals Private Dining Room on Saturday, January 7th. The multi-course , family style meal will feature the best of Granor’s harvest as well as ingredients from other regional producers. In advance of the meal, you and your guests have the option in participating in a farm tour and discussion with a Granor grower about the history and practices of the farm. The meal will take place in Granor’s new glass greenhouse surrounded by the botanicals used in the kitchen. Menus are not given in advance but dietary restrictions are happily accommodated. Date is non-transferable.
